FOUNDATIONAL MODULES:
Foundational Module
Learn how to teach hatha yoga to all levels. Learn the contraindications, benefits, and alignment of over 50 asanas. Learn sequencing for level 1, level 1-2, All-levels, and level 2-3 classes. Learn to be economical with your words. Learn adjustments, teaching methodology, anatomy and physiology, history and philosophy, and the business of yoga. Graduate Module - 100 hours
Study the yoga sutras in-depth. Explore the major Gods and Goddesses that are such a rich part of Indian culture. Awaken your Chakras systematically through weekly Chakra workshops. Learn to apply anatomical terminology to your teaching. Perfect your teaching through weekly teaching labs. ELECTIVE MODULES:
Therapeutics Module - 50 hours
Learn to teach privates therapeutically. Learn about COPD, heart conditions, cancer and orthopedic injuries. Learn about the pregnancy process and how to work with prenatal women in class and privately. Learn restorative poses and yoga nidra meditation. Tantric/Kriya Module - 50 hours
Learn several forms of pranayama and their benefits. Experience zen, inner silence, yoga nidra, and ajapa japa meditation. Learn to teach meditation. Experience the bandhas and mudras. Experience the magic of the ancient kriyas. Gain an in-depth understanding of the chakras. Learn the classical Sivananda yoga program. Vinyasa Yoga Module - 50 hours
Learn to teach vinyasa yoga to all levels. Learn to teach alignment without disturbing the flow of the class. Learn how teach beginner modifications for advanced sequences. Learn creative, and intelligent sequencing. Learn how teaching vinyasa can connect your students to the pranic energy within. Chakra Vinyasa Module - 50 hours
Experience the Chakras through Vinyasa flow. Gain an in-depth understanding of the chakras and how vinyasa can enhance the awakening. Learn the principals of teaching vinyasa. Learn to sequence a class based on chakra awakening. This module is a compliment to the vinyasa module and the tantric/kriya module as it will explore the chakras and vinyasa in a different way. Advanced Asanas Module - 50 hours
Develop a deep, functional understanding of a variety of asanas. Learn how to safely and effectively modify and adjust. Learn effective sequencing for designing a practice around a 'peak' pose. Learn to incorporate themes into your teaching. Retreat cancellation policies:
Cancellations made 30 days or more before the retreat will be refunded except a $150 administrative fee. Cancellations made less then 30 days prior to the retreat will not be refunded unless there is a waiting list. If the spot is filled then a full refund minus $150 administrative fee will be issued.
