January 2012 Foundation Teacher Training
![]() | Lead by Jamie Horgan Jamie is one of the most dynamic teachers in Los Angeles. She is known for creative, liberating flow classes incorporating signature arm balances seamlessly into a sequence. Jamie continually takes her practice beyond the mat, studying yoga philosophy and seeking opportunities for Karma yoga (yoga of service). In your training, Jamie will encourage you to build a personal practice and become part of a wider "Yoga Family" as you explore your path. You will cultivate a scientific understanding of the body, anatomy and physiology of asanas, breathing and the nervous system. To Jamie, no training can be limited to asana. You will explore cleansing practices, uncover the Eight Limbs of Yoga, delve in to meditation, practice Pranayama, study Ayurveda and gain an understanding of the Chakra system. These tools allow you, too, to become a dynamic teacher, inspiring your students to move beyond the pose and into its true expression. |
Build a Lasting Foundation
Mukti Yoga's Foundation Module is designed to teach you the skills to lead a safe, fun, inspired yoga class. Whether you plan on teaching others or simply yourself, you will reach a new understanding of asana, the body and how the two combine to illuminate an understanding of the soul.
Mukti Yoga is a unique environment emphasizing community support, conscious teaching and (most importantly) conscious living. Your training is a transformative process that will leave you with a clearer picture of your goals not just on the mat but in your life. We are here to support you in those goals. Students and studio directors continue to rave about our graduates, many of who go on to teach others these same tools for inner liberation.
